Rocks and Ropes of Tucson presents the 3rd Annual Reel Rock Film Tour, featuring the exciting new feature-length documentary THE SHARP END, along with thrilling short films, gear giveaways and more!

The third annual REEL ROCK FILM TOUR delivers the year's most exciting climbing and adventure films to audiences in over 80 cities around the world. More than just film screenings, REEL ROCK shows are festive events where climbers and outdoors lovers gather to celebrate their passion for adventure.

Presented by Windstopper and The North Face, REEL ROCK events feature the latest releases from the award-winning filmmakers at Sender Films and Big UP Productions, plus thrilling new short films, gear giveaways, appearances by top climbers, and fundraising for local and national non-profit organizations.
For the first time in 2008, aspiring filmmakers were encouraged to submit their best three-minute films to The REEL ROCK Filmmaking Competition, and their films were posted online for public voting. The winning shorts will be hitting the big screen as part of the REEL ROCK FILM TOUR 2008!

This year's featured documentary is THE SHARP END by Peter Mortimer, Nick Rosen and Sender Films. Brought to you by the creators of First Ascent, Return2Sender, and co-creators of King Lines, THE SHARP END showcases the climbers who risk everything to do the world's most dangerous and committing climbs. Run-out traditional routes, scary highball boulder problems, ice-covered alpine walls and all-or-nothing free-solo ascents are all part of the game. THE SHARP END features Alex Hannold, Dean Potter, Mike Patz, Steph Davis, Tommy Caldwell, Jonny Copp, Lisa Rands and many more. Also featuring the three-minute shorts, Dosage: South Africa, The Aerialist, Grand Canyon Walls and On Sight.
