"Full of great car chases , witty buddy-cop reparteé, gleefully violent antisocial behavior, and enough bullet-fests to qualify for an honorable mention from the John Woo appreciation society, THE HIDDEN is a wild ride." - Brian McKay, EFILMCRITIC.COM

There's a power-mad space slug slithering among (and through) the innocent citizens of L.A., and it's up to a hardboiled cop and a detective from outer space to stop it in this wonderfully wacky but seriously exciting sci-fi action flick. The basic plot may be nothing new, but this remains one of the most underrated testosterone fests of the '80s, with a plethora of amazing stunts (there are more expensive cars smashed here than in the entire oeuvre of Cannonbal Run director Hal Needham), intense characterizations far beyond the call of duty by Michael Nouri (Flashdance) and the otherworldly Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), and a startlingly creepy finale. Also featuring a possessed dog and Babylon 5's Claudia Christian in a memorable role as an alien-infected stripper with a high-caliber rifle fetish. This gem is essential viewing for fans of great action flicks with a (slimy) twist.
